University Star
The University Star is the independent student media group of Texas State University. We produce news content daily on our website and publish a paper every Tuesday of the spring and fall semesters, as well as the first Tuesday of each summer session. We distribute 3,000 copies to over 52 locations on campus and 22 throughout San Marcos. We also have an email newsletter that goes directly to more than 60,000 subscribers’ inboxes every Tuesday and Thursday.
Fourth place at the fall National College Media Convention (Washington, DC) for the Associated Collegiate Press for design work with The University Star.
Vivienne Westwood: Fashion, art, and punk
Vivienne Westwood: Fashion, Art, and Punk was a project designed by Lucia Gonzalez for the Spring 2025 Typography II course in the BFA Communication Design program at Texas State University, San Marcos. I was responsible for every aspect of the project, including both the design execution and the development of written content. This comprehensive approach allowed me to integrate visual and editorial elements seamlessly, resulting in a cohesive and well-rounded final piece.
